Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver aka War Machine was convicted on Monday March 20th, 2017 guilty of kidnapping and sexually assaulting ex-girlfriend, Christine Mackinday aka Christy Mack by a Las Vegas jury. Though two attempted-murder charges were not part of his conviction roster, War Machine was convicted of 29 out of 34 possible counts, and could face up to life in prison.
Ex adult actress and tattooed model, Christy Mack has previously opened up about War Machine’s attack and his rebuttal letter. In a heartbreaking, exclusive interview, with HBO on Real Sports, Christy Mack reveals the grueling details about that fateful night.
Christy Mack fans and admirers were heartbroken when they initially learned about the brutal attack. Her first released statement in 2014 was met with shock as graphic images of her injury were leaked.
War Machine was also charged with eight domestic battery charges including punching and injuring Mack, as well as threatening her then boyfriend, Corey Thomas, who suffered from a broken nose, dislocated shoulder, scrapes, bruises and bite marks from War Machine.
Mack spent 8 hours crying on the witness stand as she described what occurred in the months before the attack on her and Thomas in 2014, saying that she was raped and beaten by War Machine. Furthermore, she revealed when War Machine threatened to kill her “because people saw you [Mack] trying to escape… Now I have to take you out to the desert and kill you.”
